Services for Children

A wide variety of programs are offered to children from prenatal through the early years of 0-6 and into the 6-12 year range. The main goal in all of our programs is to provide a safe nurturing environment where children can explore, play, interact and socialize with others. Developmentally appropriate activities are provided for the children to enhance their development in all domains (cognitive, physical, social-emotional, etc.). As part of our commitment to the community we serve, we offer a variety of social recreational and educational activities for all children to enjoy. All of our programs and services build individual and community assets. The after school drop-ins provide economical options for parents needing child care and for those children 6-12 needing a more structured environment we offer our Kids World School Aged Child Care Program.

We also offer support to children 4 years and up who have been sexually abused or displaying behaviours of sexual abuse.

All of our programs and services build individual and community assets.

Services for Families

For families facing difficulties in their lives while raising their teens we offer counselling services where a trained counsellor meets with you and offers support while helping you work through your issues. All of our counselling is done by qualified staff and all meetings are confidential.

Our Family Resource Centres offer a number of different programs that focus on the family as a whole. The Family Place Drop-ins are a great place to enjoy being together as a family as well as networking with other families. Information on parenting, child development and community resources are also available to families through the Family Resource Centres.

We also offer family activities such as our Family Fun Night through our Clubs and we encourage families to come out and join the staff in the three community parades that take place in Delta.

The Parents and Children Together Program (PACT) offer two major family events throughout the year to their registered participants as well as a number of smaller events.
